The Space
In the fall of 2019, The Studio™ moved into our new 11,000 square foot facility. The rooms are large and flexible, allowing for guides and students to rearrange the space for their needs.
Loud, energetic areas like the Commons and the sport court facilitate socializing and exercise, while classrooms, conference rooms and the library allow for quieter discussions and study. The Maker Space provides a place for projects and creations. The front porch and surrounding green spaces offer outdoor space to enjoy the sun and messy science experiments.
Students take responsibility for their environment by cleaning and removing trash daily and naming the rooms. They also come up with great suggestions for how we live in the space. (Ask about the stripes down the hallway.)
The Neighborhood
The Studio is just a short walk from the new Austin Community College Highland Campus and the Highland light rail station.
